Homework for 10/20/2009

Even though we don't have class next week, Sean wants to see your WIPs, so...
  • Finish your 3/4 frontal view of your character, in color. You don't have to post this one; you can bring it when we next meet. Also include the other views (back, side) of the character, the scale reference, and material callouts.
  • Post an in-progress sketch of an environment to where your character is native - house, hometown, level, etc. The character should be in the environment, but not be the dominant element or focus of the image - Sean says "30% character".
  • Consider the mood, the story behind the environment, lightning, silhouette, color, time period; the things you consider for the character. The image you bring to next class should be a "finished draft" - a pencil drawing, or something ready to be finalized (i.e. colored or tightened up) but still open to changes.
  • Bring your three best B&W sketches for the show that's next Wednesday (the 21st). Drop them off in Sean's mailbox or come at 7 pm to the Brown to help hang it up!
The trip has been set for the 24th of October, which is a Saturday. The pricing isn't set but tickets brought in a group cost 13 bucks per person, so it'll be more than that; keep that in mind...
