I really like how the full color version turned out. Her environment gives us a sense of how tiny she is, and I like her costuming. The soup can makes a great hat! I'm just a little uncertain about her weapon. I'm not sure what it is. I like her facial expressions and the poses you chose. You get a good sense of her personality and that she has attitude. Nice job!

I like how he's gripping his fat and pointing at me. It's rather terrifying.

Love how you treated his facial features, with the hollowed-in eye sockets and dark upper lip. Sweet lil boots, too. Great silhouette.

Erin-

I really like your character alot, she has a nice potential range of emotion and lives in a compelling world.

Her overall shape is simple and recognizeable, but the details draw us in. I think you have shown scale very effectively.

I would like to see your colors a little less muddy in certain areas... they just don't feel as rich as the character's personality, and I get a little lost in the belt/pants area.

I like the "gun" she has, but I think we need a few more clues as to what it really is - let's see her firing the thing! :)

Another fun image might be to see her resting inside an old pipe or something, witht he gun propped up nearby just in case.

Overall, great character design. I can really see the potential story behind her - a whole world full of these small beings that live in our biggest and most polluted landfills, all fighting for territory and avoiding being seen by humans.

OR, maybe this is a garbage planet where humans just dump their trash, and these are the native creatures to the planet who are constantly at war with the trash-bots that we put there!! NEAT!!!! Am I close? :)

Anyways, awesome job!

This is one of the many cases where I end up liking the black and white version more than your color- it would seem that you've gone a little too dark with her colored version or as Sean says, a bit muddy.
Did you use gouache ?

If so- you could try to brighten up her pants a little and tighten up the details on her face because they look really clear and wonderful in the black/white version (Since the contrast is super nice on that one :3)

This is my opinion but it has the potential to be super awesome if her outlines are clearer to see

Otherwise, still a great concept !
