Lucy-

About your Graphic Novel Character-

Try scanning it again and playing around with the levels and the color balance.

Part of my crit is that I wish he had more color. The final piece felt like you were a bit afriad to use color in a meaningful way. Not that there aren't black and white comics, but color is an important thing to master in general, so I would love to see a more bold color approach.

That said, I think your character is a lot of fun and very dynamic. The anatomy is a little wonky here and there, so keep practicing your figure drawing. But his personality definitely comes through.

Also, on a presentation note: please try to scan the whole image in. Right now his hand is cut off as well as part of his face. Presentation is a large part of an illustrators job, and a HUGE part of a concept artists job, so don't let those things slide.

I think your character is fun and unique, and VERY memorable. Good job!
