Sound Face Character Study

Nice color choices. They work very well with the character and his movements. It is nice that you showed us his key movements and different angles of his face. One thing I would like to see is more fluidity in the white fabric because in the sketches it seems to follow his movement and captures the moment very well, but on the final drawings with color, you seem to have concentrated more on his body underneath that the fabric now doesn't stand as its own layer, but rather, an attached pattern on his outfit/body.

Ari-

This is a really neat character. I really love what you did with your speaker pieces as inspiration. He really feels like a hero character I would see in a comic book, plus the fact that his face is hidden hints at a mystery or secret about his character. I like that sound waves are his weapon/superpower, reminds me of Dune, only cooler.

The color is not bad, but I think could be a bit more dynamic. I like that you have worked subtle blue hues into the white cloth, but I think this guy could really use a bold secondary light-source color.

I think the anatomy is getting better, but still needs some work, especially in the area of fore-shortening, his arms seem almost like they are too short for his body. It's tricky, but you are pretty successful with it in other areas, like the hands, etc, so I know you will get there.

One other thing that I think could use some attention is the asymmetry and shakiness of the headshots. They just seem to be a bit wonky, so Iwould really try to use some guide lines to "measure" out your proportions early on. The more you do this the more you will get better at doing it without using the guidelines. Just practice drawing a bunch of heads in your sketchbook, then scan them into Photoshop, and FLIP them. It's a great way of seeing how things could be a bit "off".

Nice job, man! Keep it up!
