- Finished drawings of both illustrations, in black and white, preferably in pencil/graphite. The composition should be worked out in both pieces.
- Sean mentioned that you can start in color, but if you might be asked to change things around. If you want to post WIPs/finished comps on the blog, I can offer some critique, but Sean needs to give it a go before you can finish the pieces with color.
- Remember, you can bring WIPs on the computer (stuff for next week), but everything needs to be printed out for the final critique (in two weeks).
A lot of these links have challenges (some with fiscal incentives), a community in which to gather feedback on posted work, the opportunity to see what others are making, and tutorials.
Here's a couple of other links that might be useful:
- Colour Lovers: Kat suggested this in class for a way to search for palettes, but I don't know if everyone heard her.
- Pose Maniacs: This site has 3D models of humanoid figures posed in everyday and odd ways, from standard and bizarre angles. Obviously, a live model is better, and photos you've taken are a good backup plan, but this is good for a little practice if you can't get a naked person constantly enough.
Whoa, this is kind of long. Okay, you guys know what to do, go!
