Here are some quick sketches I drew just to get me thinking of what direction I could start to take with this assignment. I chose to go with background number 2, the one of the factory with all of the pipes. I decided to take a kind of post-apocalyptic angle to it and referenced traditional clothing from Russia, Mongolia, and the Ukraine, thinking about a type of subsistence farming culture that could arise from the ashes of modern Russia after several hundred years of nuclear winter.
